Does anyone know whether the climate or weather has an effect on people who go to, or live near the Daintree Rainforest?
If someone here has actually been to the Daintree Rainforest it would be a huge help if you could describe what it was like.
Thanks |

Hi
I live in the daintree rainforest at the bottom of Thorntons Peak.
The daintree relise alot on the rainfall to fill the watertable.
When the water table becomes very low during the drier season it can rain for weeks with no flooding. Once the water table is full it can rain for one hour and we have huge flooding. The people here can get very anxious as the mosoonal troth builds as it is very sticky and hot. You feel tired and lazy. It is hard to be motivated. During the winter months we wear tracksuits and jumpers as it is cold. At the bottom of the mountain we hardly see sun..We travel to the end of our street and realise it is a sunny day... I hope this helps. |
