Hi,
Planning on visiting Northern Queensland next August & spending some time in the Daintree area. Just after a bit of advise if anyone can help.
I'm travelling with my wife & son who will be nearly 2 then. Is the area suitable for a young child? Also, planning on hiring a camper van in Cairns. I've had a few quotes from the larger rental companies which all seem quite expensive. Are there any cheaper rental companies to try? And finally, would I need to book accomodation before I travel - I know this is the peak season?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers. |

It can be really busy in the first 2 weeks of August, so I would recommend booking so you won't disappointed.
Cape Trib Camping Ground is directly behind the beach and has powered sites for campervans. You will be able to walk your 2 year old through to the beach and play on the sand right there. The water is very shallow at the camping ground, so your 2 year old will be able to paddle quite happily. |
