Hi!
I have planned to drive from Cairns to Laura then Cooktown and go back to Cairns via Cape Tribulation on my own. For that, I hired a wicked outback camper which you can see on this link : http://www.wickedcampers.com.au/Pricing/. I have been said it was a 4WD but it is not called 4wd on the website. How could I make sure I will be
able to drive the track from Cape tribulation to Cooktown with this vehicle?
Has anybody already hired this vehicule? Or would have maps of the area?
Thank you!!
Chloe

Hi Chloe,

It does say it is 4/wd on the site if you put your cursur on the image.
However, to be sure you should contact "Wicked" and make sure.
The roads north of Cooktown and between Cooktown and Cape Tribulation are 4/D only.
For a map/s try:
http://gis.qld.gov.au/iqed/map/#
or try Google maps:

Hi,
Thank you very much for your answer, this is what the guy of wicked camper told me :
"Yes the van is a 4wd however ther are a small number of 4wd tracks they can't go on."
So I think that will do ? But how will the roads be in mid-october? (particularly for Bloomfield track)
Thanks
